On June 29, a meeting was held with war veterans, Defenders of Ukraine, their family members, and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine from the Svitlodarsk city community.
Representatives from the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy and the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances joined the meeting.
During the meeting, the following issues were discussed:
- state programs to provide housing for war veterans and their family members;
- the legal status of persons missing under special circumstances during military service;
- procedures for providing financial assistance to war veterans, Defenders of Ukraine, and their family members, as well as family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine in 2026;
- a presentation of local regulations on the provision of financial assistance, effective August 1, 2026, to Defenders of Ukraine and war veterans in honor of Defenders of Ukraine Day, and the provision of financial assistance to the children of persons missing under special circumstances or who have died (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine, prior to Defenders of Ukraine Day;
- health and wellness programs for the children of Defenders of Ukraine and war veterans throughout 2026.
Artur Nasibyan, head of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, answered participants’ questions and provided the necessary explanations regarding the implementation of government programs to support veterans and their families.
