On August 28, a meeting was held with the families of fallen (deceased) male and female defenders of Ukraine from the Bakhmut city community.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, and the deputy chair of the Council of War Veterans under the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:
- the provision of state and additional social guarantees funded by regional and local budgets;
- measures for additional social support for the families of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine at the community level;
- pension benefits and social guarantees for family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine: current changes and practical issues.
Inna Starostina, Deputy Head of the Department and Head of the Division for Monitoring and Implementation of Veterans’ Programs within the Department of Veterans’ Policy of the Regional State Administration, provided a detailed overview of housing programs operating at the national level and programs for veterans and their family members funded by the regional budget.
