Government officials met with veterans and the families of defenders from the Komarska and Staromlynivska communities

On August 20, a meeting was held with war veterans and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine from the Komarska and Staromlynivska rural communities.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department for Veterans’ Policy, the Volnovakha District State Administration, the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, and the regional employment center.

 During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:

  • the status of veteran policy implementation in the Komarska and Staromlynivska communities;
  • planned forms of support for veterans and their families, families of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine, and families of persons missing under special circumstances in the Komarska and Staromlynivska rural communities, as well as measures already implemented;
  • the legal status of persons missing under special circumstances during military service;
  • the provision of social services to war veterans, military personnel, and the families of military personnel who were killed in action (deceased) or recognized as missing in action;
  • the provision of financial assistance in time for Independence Day;
  • employment opportunities for veterans and their family members.

Inna Starostina, Deputy Head of the Department and Head of the Division for Monitoring and Implementation of Veterans’ Programs within the Department of Veterans’ Policy of the Regional State Administration, spoke about the social benefits provided at the national and regional levels, including housing programs and health resort treatment for veterans and their family members.
