As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” at the invitation of the Fastiv community, Viktoria Klokova, a representative of the Mykilske community, joined a group of Ukrainian youth on a visit to Brussels.
The delegation included young people from Fastiv in Kyiv Oblast, Berdiansk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Chuhuiv in Kharkiv Oblast, and Mykolaiv in Donetsk Oblast.
During the visit, working meetings were held with the Representative of Ukraine to the European Union, representatives of the European Commission, the Committee of the Regions, and the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport, and Culture (DG EAC).
During the meetings, the Ukrainian youth had the opportunity to present the situation in Ukraine, share the experiences of their communities, and discuss with representatives of European institutions directions for further cooperation in supporting youth initiatives.
An important part of the visit was the participation of Christian Bommers, Mayor of Meerbusch (Germany), and Tony Georgiou, First Deputy Chair of the Municipal Council of Trollhättan (Sweden).
Participation in such international initiatives contributes to the development of youth policy, expands partnerships, and opens new opportunities for realizing the potential of the community’s youth and the youth of Donetsk Oblast.
