Despite the difficult security situation in Donetsk region, energy, gas, and all utility services continue to operate.
Over the course of a week, energy workers managed to restore power to 16 settlements with a population of over 42,000 people. Nearly two hundred specialists were involved in repairing the damage to the network.
At the same time, gas supply was restored in five settlements after enemy shelling.
In total, 91 boiler rooms are currently operating in seven communities in the region, where the heating season began at the end of October, providing heat to nearly 2,000 high-rise buildings.
Oleksiy Goptar, acting director of the Department of Basic Industry Development of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, and Serhiy Boevskyi, director of the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, spoke about the difficult work of emergency crews, the energy situation, the condition of roads, and the heating season in the region.
