Work continues on obtaining financial support from the international humanitarian organization Mercy Corps.

Published 14 January 2026 year, 10:32

Starting in November 2023, the Ukraine Agriculture Support Program will be implemented in the Donetsk region with the assistance of the international humanitarian organization Mercy Corps in cooperation with the NGO Eastern Ukrainian Agricultural Advisory Service.

In 2024, 138 agricultural producers in the region received UAH 32.8 million from Mercy Corps, and in 2025, 97 producers participated in the program, with humanitarian aid amounting to UAH 38.2 million.

In 2025, the Ukraine Agriculture Support Program was not limited to specific sectors. Within the framework of the program, four agricultural sectors were assessed: poultry farming, beekeeping, cattle breeding, and vegetable growing.

The results of the surveys identified the constraints faced by households and small farmers, namely: production technologies, limited access to financial services, weak feed and veterinary drug supply systems, insufficient access to markets, and a lack of advisory services and knowledge support.

In order to overcome these limitations, Mercy Corps invites producers working in poultry farming, beekeeping, cattle breeding, and vegetable growing in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and Odesa regions.
