I congratulate Ukrainian metallurgists and miners on their professional holiday!
For the fourth year now, this day is marked not only in workshops and mines, but also in evacuation apartments and on the frontlines. Among metallurgists and miners are those who continue working, those who have lost their homes, and those who have taken up arms to defend their homeland.
Today, it is impossible not to mention Mariupol. Yes, Mariupol is more than just metallurgy, and metallurgy is more than just Mariupol. But the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant and Azovstal have long ceased to be merely industrial sites — they have become symbols of our national resistance.
I bow my head to those who have fallen. I thank everyone who is sustaining the economy. I believe the day will come when Donetsk Oblast once again operates at full capacity — for a peaceful and independent Ukraine.
