The Donetsk region today stands on the front line of the nation’s defense. Here, every day, every task, and every pair of working hands matter — because the strength of our defense and the speed of recovery of our communities depend on our collective efforts.
One of the initiatives that combine people’s support with regional recovery is the government project “Recovery Army.” It engages local residents and internally displaced persons who have temporarily lost their jobs. Through participation, they not only contribute to a common cause but also gain stable income and opportunities for personal growth.
Employment service specialists are actively involving people in socially useful work that plays a key role in sustaining communities and strengthening the region’s defense capacity. Within the framework of the program, 34,500 referrals have already been issued in Donetsk region.
The “Recovery Army” is an example of how work can become a weapon. On one hand, it supports those who have lost their jobs; on the other, it provides a tangible contribution to the defense and rebuilding of home cities and villages. Participants receive wages of up to two minimum salaries per month (for frontline regions — 16,000 UAH), as well as new experience and skills that will help them in future employment.
