On April 2, 2026, local communities in the region participated in public consultations to discuss the training program on public investment management.
For the Donetsk region, a particular focus in the preparation and implementation of public investment projects today is on assisting IDPs and communities located in the combat zone.
During the discussion of the training program, Oksana Golovko, Director of the Department of Investment, Innovation, and External Relations at the Regional State Administration, drew the attendees’ attention to the challenges of implementing a public investment management system and the importance of adapting the program to the working conditions of Donetsk Oblast communities.
Approximately 140 employees of military administrations in settlements across Donetsk Oblast participated online in the event to discuss the training program developed as part of the I_SAN project, created at the initiative of the World Bank, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and KSE.
In the near future, representatives of the region’s local communities will have the opportunity to undergo in-person training, which will help them plan public investments more effectively and contribute to strengthening the institutional capacity of local communities.
