




On August 7, a regular meeting of the Regional Commission for Determining the Status of Persons Affected by the Chornobyl Disaster was held. The event was chaired by Oleksandr Shevchenko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Department of Social Protection, the Department of Health of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Region, the Main Department of the National Social Service, the Main Department of the State Emergency Service, the National Police in Donetsk Region, as well as representatives of public organizations of Chernobyl victims.
During the meeting, five personal files received from local governments were considered. The commission members studied each issue in detail, taking into account the submitted documents, current legislation and court decisions. Following the voting results, a decision was made on each case.
Such meetings are an important tool for implementing state guarantees and benefits for citizens affected by the Chornobyl accident. Regular meetings of the Commission allow us to respond to the needs of citizens in a timely manner and ensure a systematic approach to social protection of this category of population.
