December always begins with the anticipation of a miracle. It is at this time that stories are born, passed down from generation to generation—in songs, in home-cooked meals, in nativity plays that bring families together around the fire year after year.
This year, these traditions will come to life online: from December 5 to 24, the regional remote festival of Christmas traditions "Christmas Miracle" will take place.
Students and teachers of general secondary, extracurricular, vocational, pre-higher, and higher education institutions are invited to participate.
The festival combines several areas, each of which is about the spirit of the holiday, but in different shades:
- Best Nativity Play – for those who know how to tell stories.
- Carols and New Year's songs – when the voice becomes part of the tradition.
- Best Christmas dish, which includes subcategories: "Kutia," "Vareniki," "Christmas table dishes," "Drinks," "Desserts."
To participate, you must send your application and competition entry to the Palace's email address: [email protected] with the subject line "Christmas Miracle" by December 10 (inclusive).
From December 17 to 20, online voting will be open on the Palace's website yunist.org.ua. Anyone who wants to support their favorite work can participate.
The results of the Festival will be announced on December 25, 2025, on the Palace's official website.
"Christmas Miracle" is an opportunity to show how Ukrainian Christmas is celebrated today: in voices, in creativity, in family recipes, in nativity stories that have been passed down through generations. It is about traditions that do not disappear even at a distance, and about the light that always returns — thanks to those who continue to carry it.
