There are moments in life when one must start over. That’s exactly what happened to Oksana Kartashian from the city of Selydove. Before the war, she worked as a cook in a sushi bar, but after losing her job due to hostilities, she relocated with her children to Kirovohrad region.
Finding a job on her own in the small settlement of Molodizhne proved difficult, so Oksana turned to the Employment Service for help. She attended webinars, training sessions, and job fairs. With the support of a career counselor, she created a modern and professional résumé.
Meanwhile, the service’s recruiters searched for suitable job openings among their employer database and partner sites. On the Unified Vacancy Portal https://dcz.gov.ua/job, Oksana found an offer that caught her eye — a sales position at a grocery store right in her settlement, just a short walk from home.
At first, Oksana hesitated: she had no prior experience in retail. But the Employment Service suggested she take upskilling courses to gain the necessary knowledge. The training helped her overcome her doubts, and soon after completing it, the employer gladly offered her the job.
Today, Oksana enjoys stable employment, is satisfied with her work, and is happy to have found a job close to home.
“I’m grateful to the Employment Service specialists for their help and the new opportunities. Without their support, I wouldn’t have dared to start something new,” says Oksana.
The Employment Service is not just about finding vacancies — it’s about real support, learning, and new opportunities for everyone ready to move forward.
