This was announced by the Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Head of the Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
A difficult but vital decision has been made jointly with Ukrzaliznytsia — train service on the Kramatorsk route is temporarily limited to the border of Kharkiv Region in order to protect lives.
The decision was made due to security concerns. Passengers of all five long-distance trains operating on the Kramatorsk route will receive detailed notifications about their final destination directly in the Ukrzaliznytsia app on the day of departure.
Currently, shuttle buses are being organized between Kramatorsk–Sloviansk and the temporary terminal station.
The temporary restriction also applies to suburban train services within Donetsk Region, including the Bantysheve–Kramatorsk and Sloviansk–Raigorodok routes.
“People’s safety is our top priority.
Together with the Defense Forces, law enforcement, and Ukrzaliznytsia, we are closely monitoring the situation — train movement will be restored as soon as it becomes safe,”— emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
