As part of the nationwide program "Side by Side: Cohesive Communities", the important cooperation between the Chasovoyarsk community and the Uman community continues to evacuate elderly people who have found themselves alone in the realities of the current war.
Over the past month, the Uman Veterans' Home has welcomed two new residents who have been able to find peace, care and support, which is so lacking in this difficult time.
On September 4, Ruslan Pryimenko, deputy head of the Chasovoyarsk MVA, visited the evacuated residents. Currently, 21 elderly people are staying in the house. During the visit, a warm conversation took place, in which people shared their memories of their hometown, emotions and pain that do not subside in everyone's heart.
Despite all the difficulties, everyone is sincerely grateful for the excellent living conditions and human attitude. People received some goodies from the CF "Service Solutions" and glasses from Norwegian volunteers, for which they express their deep gratitude.
Such moments of humanity and support are invaluable, especially now, when many people have lost their homes, families and normal lives. In every word, in every action, there is hope that even in the darkest times we do not lose faith in goodness.
The project "Side by Side: Cohesive Communities" proves once again that the strength of the Ukrainian people lies in unity, mutual respect and joint work. Only together can we overcome all difficulties and build a strong, free and prosperous Ukraine!
