On International Mother Language Day, as part of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities," the Sartana community joined forces with the Chyhyryn, Velykokuchuriv, Rivne, and Starosambir communities in a joint educational marathon called "United in Diversity."
The event began with a joint performance of the Ukrainian national anthem and a minute of silence, during which children, teachers, and residents of the five communities bowed their heads in memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and all the defenders of Ukraine. It is thanks to them that today we have the right to speak, dream, and create the future in the Ukrainian language on our own land.
During the educational marathon, teams of students presented their own "business cards" as part of the "Voice of My Community" introduction. The participants prepared special videos to demonstrate the uniqueness, cultural richness, and peculiarities of their native land. The teams also competed in three rounds: "Map of Dialects"; "Visual Code of Language"; "Myths about Language."
The marathon ended with a touching flash mob: more than 50 participants turned on their cameras and formed a "heart" with their hands, capturing the moment of our absolute unity.
