The Sartana School of Arts organized a community dialogue through art

Published 21 April 2026 year, 12:02

On April 20, as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” an online seminar titled “The Concept of an Arts School: Fostering Children’s National and Cultural Identity Through Art in Today’s World. Uniting Communities Through Art," organized by the "School of Arts" of the Sartana Community.

The seminar was held for directors of art schools, teachers, representatives of cultural departments, and methodologists from the Sartana, Velykokuchuriv, Stepanets, and Chyhyryn communities.

During the seminar, representatives of the Sartana School of Arts shared their unique experience with distance learning, which has been both a real challenge and a new opportunity for development.

Participants discussed the key challenges facing art today and its role. Particular attention was paid to art therapy approaches that help students overcome anxiety and express emotions through creativity, as well as the importance of the “Suzuki Method,” where parents become active partners in their children’s education.

Those present watched performances by students from community art schools and enjoyed their creative works. As part of a lively dialogue, participants reflected on which musical instrument they associate themselves with and why, what part of the orchestra they would be, and what composition should play at the moment of their triumph. These reflections helped teachers and methodologists feel an even deeper connection with one another.

Together we are stronger, because art keeps us grounded!
