The fifth session of “The Pearl of Donetsk Region” has started in the Carpathians: 142 children from the region, who have experienced evacuation and the loss of their homes, will now have a safe space where they hear laughter instead of sirens.
The session’s motto is: “My strength is in kindness. I create the world around me.”
The program includes: confidence- and fear-overcoming trainings, “stones of strength” as personal symbols of resilience, daily good deeds, evening “circles of trust,” a gadget-free day with outdoor activities, the team game “City of the Future”, a “letter to myself,” and a closing celebration.
Teachers, psychologists, and medical staff are by the children’s side — people who know how to listen, support, and help restore the feeling of a normal childhood.
This summer, “The Pearl of Donetsk Region” has already welcomed more than 2,000 children. We initiated this project so that our boys and girls could have a real childhood summer even during the war.
