“We had to leave everything behind and run.” These are the words we hear more and more often from people arriving at the transit center in #Pavlohrad. Every day, evacuees arrive here from frontline areas of Donetsk Oblast and from several communities of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast — Mezhivska, Malomykhailivska, and Velykomykhailivska.
Over the past weekend alone, People in Need Ukraine registered 483 people for cash assistance. Each day, around 350 evacuees pass through the center.
Among them is Olena, who arrived with her two children after escaping shelling in their hometown, carrying only the essentials. The cash assistance from People in Need will help her buy what they need the most, and pay for transport to a safer place.
