The Toretsk community in Donetsk Oblast transferred a school bus to the Ruzhyn community in Zhytomyr Oblast for temporary use. The transfer of the bus took place as part of the cooperation between the Toretsk and Ruzhyn communities within the framework of the project "Side by Side: United Communities."
The cooperation between the communities is an example of genuine solidarity and mutual support in wartime. The Ruzhyn community has become a refuge for families displaced from the Toretsk community who were forced to leave their homes due to the hostilities. Joining forces not only allows us to support people in difficult life circumstances, but also to ensure the continuity of the educational process for children.
The transfer of the school bus is a practical step within the partnership between the communities and aims to create appropriate conditions for transporting children to educational institutions, their adaptation, and integration into the educational environment of the host community.
The implementation of such initiatives confirms that interaction between communities is an important tool for overcoming today's challenges, strengthening social cohesion, and supporting citizens who have suffered as a result of armed aggression.
