This was reported by Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Head of the Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin.
Our children competed in four sports: cheerleading, grassroots football, athletics, and orienteering. Donetsk region was represented by teams from Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Ocheretyne, and Velyka Novosilka.
The team from Pokrovsk Gymnasium No. 2 advanced to the Round of 16 in grassroots football among students in grades 1–4. The other teams also demonstrated determination, discipline, teamwork, and a strong desire to compete until the very end.
“This time, there were no prize-winning places. But for children from a frontline region, participation in a national final is already a major achievement. It is valuable experience, new friendships, strong emotions, and motivation to keep moving forward.
I thank the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Education and Science, Sport for All, as well as the coaches, teachers, and parents.
We are proud of our children. Donetsk region has a future — strong, talented, and determined,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
