Every year, the National Center "Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine" holds a nationwide interactive competition "MAN-Junior Researcher". Its participants – students of grades 7–10 – conduct research in one of four fields of science: astronomy, ecology, history, and technology. They gain experience in writing scientific research papers, learn to present projects, and receive feedback from an expert jury.
And here comes the touching and long-awaited moment. On May 31, 2025, the results of the nationwide interactive competition "MAN-Junior Researcher" were announced. According to the jury's decision, the following were presented for awarding diplomas of winners of the II degree in the nomination "Historian-Junior":
- Oleksandra Vinnik, a 9th-grade student of the Zhelanniivskyi NVK of the Ocheretynska settlement military-civil administration, supervisor – Svitlana Serhiyenko;
- Viktoriya Halivets, a 10th-grade student of Mariupol Secondary School No. 66, a student of the KPNUZ "Donetsk Regional Small Academy of Sciences of Student Youth", supervisor – Liudmyla Rybalka;
- Bohdan Kostiuk, a 7th-grade student of Lyceum No. 6 in Pokrovsk, supervisor – Nataliia Ruban.
Diplomats of the nationwide interactive competition "MAN-Junior Researcher" were students who scored more than half of the points during the remote ranking assessment of research projects and were allowed to the online defense:
Nomination "Technician-Junior"
- Oryna Hiriieva, an 8th-grade student of Kurakhivskyi ZZSО I-III degrees No. 1, supervisor – Anna Kotiuzhanska.
Nomination "Historian-Junior"
- Danilo Noga, a 7th-grade student of General Education School I-III degrees No. 12 in Pokrovsk, supervisor – Yuliia Kostenko;
- Olha Panchenko, an 8th-grade student of Zoryansky ZZSО of Illinivska village council, supervisor – Olha Dekanenko;
- Mark Khizhniak, Makar Paripka, Polina Volovodivska, 7th-grade students of Velykonovosilkivska Gymnasium with Primary School I degree, supervisor – Viktoriia Zhuravliova.
We are proud of the young scientists of Donetsk region! We hope that the nationwide interactive competition "MAN-Junior Researcher" is just the beginning of their successful research careers!
