The Donetsk Regional Museum of Local History organised an event as part of the ‘Focus on the Military’ series. Pupils from the Avdiivka, Bilozerska and Chasovoyarsk territorial communities took part in the open discussion.
The speakers at the event were servicemen from the 39th Separate Marine Brigade: Captain Vyacheslav Bulich and a senior combat medic with the call sign ‘Gadget’. The invited guests shared their experiences of military service, spoke about the specifics of carrying out combat missions and the unit’s role in repelling the Russian Federation’s armed aggression.
During the meeting, Vyacheslav Bulich familiarised participants with the brigade’s combat history and explained the significance of its official insignia. In turn, medic ‘Gadget’ discussed the provision of first aid on the front line, adapting civilian skills to the conditions of military service, the specifics of military service for women, as well as the practical aspects of supporting service personnel.
During the question-and-answer session, the pupils had the opportunity to learn about current military realities and ask the speakers questions. The event helped to foster an objective understanding of current historical processes among the teenagers and contributed to the national and patriotic education of young people.
