As part of the “Side by Side: United Communities” project, students from Kostiantynivka Lyceum No. 1 and the Oleksandriya Multidisciplinary Lyceum participated in the All-Ukrainian School Library Month.

A highlight of the event was a virtual tour of the school library led by students from the Oleksandriya Lyceum. They introduced their friends to the library’s collection and the cozy space where a love of reading thrives.

Students from Kostiantynivka shared their literary preferences. Among their favorite books were works by Serhiy Zhadan, Pavlo Vyshebaba, Nataliia Dovhopol, Dara Kornii, Volodymyr Rutkivskyi, as well as the adventure classics by Vsevolod Nestayko. Motivational stories, books about strength of spirit, inclusivity, and modern Ukraine also drew attention.

The students made a special mention of Bohdan Hawrylyshyn—an outstanding Ukrainian economist who would have turned 100 in 2026—and his book *I Remain Ukrainian*. His life story inspires young people to believe in themselves and to contribute to positive change in the country.

This meeting served as yet another reminder that reading opens up new worlds, helps us share ideas, and find common ground. And friendship between communities proves that distance does not prevent us from learning, communicating, and growing together.

Books bring hearts together, and shared reading experiences bring communities closer!
