Teachers and students in Donetsk Oblast are participating in national and international educational projects that open up new opportunities for development. Twenty-five educational projects are being implemented in educational institutions of the Bakhmut City Council, five of which have international status and 20 have all-Ukrainian status.

One of the key areas is overcoming educational losses caused by the pandemic and war. All general secondary education institutions in the community have joined this effort. Students and teachers are participating in a number of initiatives, including the POVIR tutoring project, the innovative nationwide PlayMath 2025 project, the DOSTUP II program to make up for educational losses, implemented by the Czech humanitarian organization People in Need, as well as the pedagogical projects Tutoring Catch-Up in Secondary School and ZNOVU.

An equally important area is fostering active citizenship among young people. Students from Bakhmut schools participate in the projects "Education for Peace," "Lessons in Volunteering," the nationwide simulation game "M18: We Are Lawmakers!," and the activities of school volunteer clubs. Such initiatives help young people develop a responsible attitude towards society, leadership qualities, and a culture of mutual assistance.

Particular attention is paid to the mental and physical health of children. Educational institutions are implementing projects such as "Interesting Physical Education 2.0," "Side by Side: All-Ukrainian School Leagues," "Lessons in Caring," the social and emotional program "Zerna," and the international volunteer project for psychosocial support "Goodwill."

At the same time, initiatives aimed at developing media literacy and critical thinking are also underway. Community schools are participating in the project "Learn and Distinguish: Infomedia Literacy in Education," which is being implemented with the support of international partners. Preschool educational institutions are also actively involved in the project activities.

Educational locations for children from the Bakhmut community in various cities of Ukraine play a special role. Here, developmental classes, sports activities, creative workshops, and psychological training sessions are held. In particular, a series of Hibuki therapy classes called "Warm Embraces" was held for children from the community in Kyiv.

Educational institutions in Bakhmut also joined the national project "Side by Side: United Communities," within which memoranda of cooperation were signed with educational institutions in Gostomel and Kremenchuk.

The educational system of the Bakhmut community remains dynamic and open to new opportunities.
