The Siverska community brought together participants from different regions in the competition "Ukrainian – the language of freedom!"

Published 26 February 2026 year, 15:30

On International Mother Language Day, the Siverska Community Culture and Leisure Center held an open literary and poetry contest entitled "Ukrainian – the Language of Freedom!" as part of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities."

The aim of the competition was to establish the Ukrainian language as an integral part of national identity, a powerful means of self-expression, and spiritual unity of the Ukrainian people.

Participants from different parts of Ukraine shared their own works — prose and poetry — which conveyed strength of spirit, faith in victory, and pride in Ukrainian roots.

Participants from the Siverska and Khlibodarivska communities, who were forced to move to Poltava and Zakarpattia regions, as well as representatives of partner communities, joined the creative competition. The submitted works demonstrated a deep love for the Ukrainian language, sincere patriotic sentiment, and an awareness of the importance of language as the spiritual foundation of the nation. Each work confirmed that the Ukrainian language is the language of free, strong, and unbreakable people.
