To mark Physical Culture and Sports Day, as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” a vibrant online event titled “Unity in Motion” was held, bringing together fifth-graders, teachers, and guests from the Olhopil and Siverska communities.
When the results of the “Kilometers of Unity” online marathon were tallied, there were still 12 km left to reach the desired goal. The participants covered this distance together during the event.
Those 12 kilometers became a symbol of how a shared goal makes everyone stronger, and how distance is by no means an obstacle to unity.
Things got even more exciting after that! An interactive Kahoot game awaited the participants, during which they tested their knowledge of sports, physical activity, and a healthy lifestyle. And to keep the energy flowing, fun movement breaks were added between questions, because people learn best when they’re moving and having fun!
Participants received certificates of appreciation for their active participation, perseverance, and contribution to the common cause. The event culminated in a group exercise routine titled “We Are Ukrainians”—energetic, heartfelt, and truly unifying.
“Kilometers of Unity” have been conquered! And the unity among communities continues!
