The regional stage of the 16th Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literature Competition for school and university students among students of vocational education institutions in the region has come to an end.
The contestants competed in writing an essay on the theme "It is not the same to me..." based on Taras Shevchenko's poem "It is all the same to me whether I will be..."
Most of the works make a strong impression with their sincerity—they are mature and patriotic texts in which the authors not only reproduce their knowledge of literary material or academic analysis of poetry, but also filter the words of the Kobzar through their own value system, demonstrating a deep understanding of the historical context and personal involvement in the fate of Ukraine, affirming that Shevchenko's words remain a living tool for the self-identification of today's youth.
The jury's joint decision determined the winners of the regional stage:
First place – Danylo Diliy, student at the Kramatorsk Center for Vocational and Technical Education, teacher Iryna Molodyka;
Second place – Valeria Novikova, student at the Mirnograd Professional Mining Lyceum, teacher Olga Zhidkova;
Third place – Nicole Kovalenko, student at the Bakhmut Center for Vocational and Technical Education, teacher Inga Frolova.
