Donetsk Employment Service: Supporting People, Jobs for Communities, Responding to the Challenges of the Time

Published 09 August 2025 year, 13:25

In 2025, despite difficult security conditions and significant challenges, the Donetsk Regional Employment Service continues to effectively fulfill its key mission — helping people find jobs, adapt to changes in the labor market, and supporting employers in creating new jobs.

Since the beginning of the year, nearly 15,000 citizens have used the services of the employment service. Thanks to active cooperation with employers and the use of modern employment tools, 5,700 people have already returned to work. These are not just numbers — behind each of them is a story of a person who received support, found new opportunities, and took a step toward professional growth.

The Employment Service actively engages employers in participating in state compensation programs. In particular, 564 people were employed with compensation for the cost of paying the single social contribution and wages. This is a powerful incentive for employers to create new jobs even during wartime.

Significant attention is also paid to developing professional skills: since the start of the year, 1,700 people have undergone training, retraining, or skills upgrading, and 90% of them have already successfully adapted to the labor market and found jobs.

Nearly 700 citizens have used their right to receive a training voucher, which allows them to acquire a new profession or improve their skills for career growth.

A separate priority is the professional adaptation of veterans and people with disabilities caused by the war. This year, as part of a government project, 271 veterans and 5 people with disabilities are already gaining new competencies to confidently build their future in civilian life.

Between January and July, 7,300 referrals were issued for participation in community-beneficial work. This area has a dual significance: it provides people with temporary earnings and is a strong support for communities in a critical period. Involvement in work in the social sphere, public amenities, or humanitarian assistance strengthens the resilience of Donetsk region’s communities.

The Donetsk Regional Employment Service remains a reliable partner for everyone who is looking for a job, seeking change, or striving for development. We continue to work within communities, help people return to professional life, support veterans, internally displaced persons, and people with disabilities, and promote business development.

Today’s results are an investment in a strong future for our region. Let’s build it together!
