




On the second Saturday of September, Ukraine traditionally celebrates the Day of Physical Culture and Sports, the main holiday for athletes, coaches, sports professionals, and all supporters of a healthy lifestyle.
On this day, which promotes a healthy lifestyle and is a symbol of unbreakable spirit, willpower and the pursuit of excellence, humanitarian hubs / centers established for residents of Donetsk Oblast in the safe regions of Ukraine held a number of interesting sports and entertainment events for children and adults, supporting the younger generation on the way to new achievements.
Sports intensives, relay races, and outdoor competitions allowed the participants to have fun and benefit from the events, improve their health, feel the team spirit and give themselves a good mood.
Young athletes from Donetsk region attended the literary and sports mix "If you are friends with sports, you will be healthy", learned about different sports and famous Ukrainian and world champions, and took part in sports games: "Journey through the mountains", "Big relay", "Flexible", "Penguins with a ball". All participants received a lot of positive emotions, a boost of energy and good mood.
Sports and entertainment events "Sport Unites" and "If You Love Sport, You Will Be Strong and Agile" aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, developing team spirit and sports activity among the participants, where children took part in interesting and dynamic competitions, darts and puzzle making, solving riddles and interactive tasks, fun games, where each player demonstrated their knowledge of the history and modernity of sports, showed speed, agility and teamwork.
Fun starts "Sport - Health. Sport is a Game", "Family Starts" and "Sport Unites the Family" sports competitions became a real celebration of sport, friendship and fun that united young athletes and their parents in a friendly competition. There was a lot of laughter, positive emotions and a real sports drive.
Yoga classes not only took care of physical health, but also gave moments of relaxation and facilitated communication and new acquaintances.
Nordic walking, an activity suitable for both young and old people, has become popular among hub visitors who are happy to join the classes.
Children and adults competed together, learned to help each other, overcame obstacles, and developed their physical activity, which provides a vital boost of energy, vigor, and optimism.
At the end of the festivities, the participants received medals, sweets and gifts.
The management and specialists of the humanitarian hubs/centers in Donetsk Oblast pay special attention to sports and physical activity.
Since the beginning of the year, about 1,000 sports events have been organized and held (skating, fitness classes, Pilates, stretching, zumba, yoga, karate, boxing, mini-football, board games, tennis, fun starts and moves, strength training, joint gymnastics, etc.), which not only improve the physical health of internally displaced persons, but also help them survive crisis periods and reduce anxiety.
Joint sports events help residents of Donetsk Oblast to feel united, overcome stress and restore resources; not only to maintain health, but also to find new friends and motivation to move forward in sports.
Sport is a healthy nation, which means the well-being and prosperity of a confident and strong country.
