The Staromlynivska and Pomichna communities signed a Memorandum of Cooperation as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities.”
The document was signed by Alona Levterova, head of the Staromlynivska Rural Military Administration, and Mykola Antoshik, mayor of Pomichna.
During the meeting, representatives of the Staromlynivska community presented their community, described life under temporary occupation, the activities of the military administration, and efforts aimed at supporting residents.
After signing the memorandum, representatives of the Staromlynivska community familiarized themselves with the work of institutions, organizations, and civic groups in the Pomichna community.
The delegation visited the Inclusive Resource Center, where they familiarized themselves with modern equipment and methods for working with children with special educational needs. The guests also visited the music school, the Administrative Services Center, the Palace of Culture, and the youth center.
Special attention was given to the volunteer activities of the NGO “VOLONTERRA.” Representatives of the Staromlynivska community were shown the work of the “Crazy Seamstress” and “Hell’s Kitchen” groups, whose members weave camouflage nets, make essential items, and prepare supplies for Ukrainian defenders.
At Lyceum No. 1 named after Hero of Ukraine Yevhen Stepanovych Bereznyak, the delegation was shown the shelter and the kitchen. The visitors also toured Preschool No. 1 “Yasocha” and the locomotive museum.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, learn about successful local practices, and identify areas for further cooperation between the Staromlynivska and Pomichna communities.
