On August 4, 2025, the first lesson was held as part of a free preparation course for the NMT in the history of Ukraine, organized by the Center for Unity and National Resistance platform in cooperation with the Department of Family, Youth and Mass Events of the National Patriotic Education of the Regional State Administration for pupils and college students who will take the exams in 2026.
Liliia Zolkina, Head of the Department for Family, Youth and Mass Events of National and Patriotic Education of the Regional State Administration, welcomed the participants. She noted that the study of history and a deep understanding of our past is a fundamental key to understanding the present and shaping the future. Liliya Zolkina also emphasized the relevance of the course in the context of current challenges, as knowledge of history contributes to the formation of national consciousness and civic position.
Larysa Kuprish, a guest speaker and history teacher at Serhiyivka Secondary School of Andriyivka Village Council, Kramatorsk District, spoke in detail about the main historical concepts, periodization of Ukrainian history, and the main life hacks for successful preparation for the NMT in Ukrainian history. According to Larysa Kuprish, successful passing of the NMT depends on a systematic approach, understanding of key historical processes and the ability to analyze cause and effect relationships.
The course covers a wide range of topics envisaged by the NMT program in the history of Ukraine, including periods from ancient times to the present. Participants will have access to lectures, practical exercises, tests in the STEM format, as well as interactive materials that will help them better absorb the information.
