For the third year in a row, students at the Kramatorsk Vocational College of Technology and Design have been helping to create a modern, aesthetically pleasing, and comfortable educational environment for children in Cherkasy, where the educational institution—which was relocated from the Donetsk region—is currently operating.
Over the course of a three-week technical internship, third-year students majoring in “Graphic Design,” under the guidance of specialized courses instructor Hanna Pohrebnyak, carried out a creative project at the “General Education School (Grades I–III) – Sports-Focused Lyceum No. 34” educational complex.
The internship provided future designers with the opportunity to go through the full cycle of professional work—from the initial meeting with the client, studying the space, and developing a concept to creating sketches, obtaining approval for them, and final implementation.
The project resulted in two completed artistic projects: a thematic mural on the wall of the chemistry classroom and the artistic design of the third-floor reception hall. Thanks to the students’ creativity, these spaces have become brighter, more modern, and more comfortable for students, as a well-organized educational environment fosters learning, development, and creative inspiration among children.
Despite the forced relocation, the college continues to train highly qualified specialists who gain practical experience and carry out socially beneficial initiatives in the host community. This project is an example of effective cooperation and mutual support amid the war.
