As part of the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian ecological and patriotic game for children and young people "Parostok" (Sprout), an extremely warm and important event took place at the "Emerald City" social rehabilitation sanatorium and health center — a workshop on making "Aromatic Candles from Beeswax," which turned into a real candle of unity.
A special guest was Sergei Martsenyuk, a junior sergeant who served in the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He visited the children to share some of his experience, strength, and faith in victory. Together with the participants, he made a candle from beeswax — a symbol of light, peace, and the indestructibility of the Ukrainian spirit.
During their joint work, the soldier talked about trench candles that save our defenders on the front lines. "Simple things — tin cans, corrugated cardboard, and paraffin — give off heat that helps to warm up, cook food, or light a dugout," Serhiy Mykolayovych explained to the children.
The children agreed to light the candles they made on Victory Day.
Such meetings are lessons in kindness and love for the Motherland, which leave a lasting impression on children's hearts.
