The war forced many to leave their homes, but it could not take away people's faith and traditions. Residents of the Bakhmut Psychoneurological Boarding School, who are currently in Poltava Oblast due to forced relocation, celebrated Christmas in an atmosphere of unity, creativity, and sincere hope.
On December 25, there was a special mood in the facility. A rich program was prepared for the residents, which helped everyone feel the warmth of the great holiday.
The preparation process began in advance:
learning Christmas carols - the methodologist of the Velykobudyshchanska community library conducted a special class where the residents of the institution learned Ukrainian ritual songs, immersing themselves in the depths of folk culture;
thematic exhibition - an exhibition entitled "Christ is born!" was organized on the walls of the boarding school, reminding everyone of the main symbols of the holiday.
The real highlight of the day was a visit by the creative team of the Velykobudyshchanskyi House of Culture. The artists presented the audience with a traditional Christmas performance — a nativity scene. Sincere congratulations and wishes for peace in Ukraine were expressed, and the audience thanked the artists with loud applause and words of gratitude.
At the end of the holiday, the administration of the facility prepared Christmas gifts for all the residents so that everyone would feel cared for and appreciated.
In the hearts of all those involved in the lives of these courageous people, there is an unshakable belief in the imminent arrival of peace.
Despite the warm hospitality of Poltava region, the main dream of the staff and residents of the Bakhmut boarding school remains to return to their native land. Everyone here believes that peace will soon return to Donetsk Oblast and all of Ukraine, and that calm and harmony will settle in their homes.
Today, everyone continues to hold their ground, preserving their humanity and warmth.
Everything will be Ukraine!
