The Toretsk and Ruzhyn Communities Are United by Creativity

Published 29 October 2026 year, 09:31

As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” a creative meeting was held for teachers from arts institutions in the Toretsk and Ruzhyn communities, providing an excellent opportunity for professional dialogue, the exchange of experiences, and the strengthening of partnerships.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the “Ivan Karabits Music School of the Toretsk City Territorial Community” and the “Ruzhyn School of Arts” of the Ruzhyn Village Council in Zhytomyr Oblast.

Despite the forced evacuation, teachers at the Toretsk Music School continue to work, develop children’s creative abilities, and preserve the cultural traditions of their home community. During the meeting, the educators shared professional best practices, discussed the specifics of working with children who require an individualized approach, and exchanged experiences on using music as a means of emotional support and adaptation.

Teachers from both institutions exchanged methodological ideas, discussed approaches to organizing arts education, and shared experiences that will contribute to the development of extracurricular arts education and the creation of a supportive environment for the creative development of every child.

The Ruzhyn community warmly welcomed their colleagues from the Donetsk region, demonstrating sincere support and a willingness to continue collaborating.

This meeting served as yet another confirmation that creativity knows no boundaries, and that Ukrainian culture unites people regardless of circumstances. The Toretsk and Ruzhyn communities continue to strengthen their partnership, share experiences, and work together for the development of children and the preservation of Ukrainian cultural values.

Together—side by side in culture, education, and the pursuit of victory!
