Despite all the challenges of wartime, municipal social service providers continue to deliver services, taking into account security considerations, both in the Donetsk region and in safer areas of Ukraine.
The most relevant social service provided by 10 territorial social service centers (provision of social services) and 17 social service centers is home care. Currently, 2,471 people with limited mobility, including 565 people with disabilities, receive social services at home.
In order to support the provision of quality social services to Donetsk residents, in May of this year, the Stabilization Support Services Charitable Foundation, in coordination with the Donetsk Regional State Administration, provided support to social protection institutions in the region.
Over the past month, the following institutions have received assistance in the form of office supplies from the Stabilization Support Services Charitable Foundation: the Territorial Center for Social Services (provision of social services) in Dobropillia, the Municipal Institution “Center for Social Services of the Svyatogorsk City Council,” the Center for Social Services of the Bilozerska City Council, and the Territorial Center for Social Services (provision of social services) in Bilozerska. Dobropillia, the Municipal Institution “Center for the Provision of Social Services of the Svyatogorsk City Council,” the Center for the Provision of Social Services of the Bilozerska City Council, the Territorial Center for Social Services (provision of social services) in the city of Lyman, and the Territorial Center for Social Services (provision of social services) of the Kramatorsk City Council. In the future, these institutions will receive tablets, phones, and charging stations.
The municipal institution “Territorial Center for Social Services (provision of social services) in Mirnograd, Donetsk region,” which provides care services to evacuated Donetsk residents with limited mobility in the Dnipropetrovsk region, has already received two bicycles, and the municipal institution “Center for Social Services of the Shakhovskaya Village Council” will soon receive five bicycles, which will help provide social services in the assisted living facility that will soon open in the Cherkasy region and provide shelter for our evacuated fellow citizens.
