The forum "From Dreams to Action" was held in the Menorah Cultural Center in the city of Dnipro — the final event of the project "Modern Woman. New Horizons. Step into the Future. Reboot", which is implemented by the Slavic Heart Foundation in cooperation with the Donetsk Regional State Administration and the Department of Family, Youth and Mass Events of National and Patriotic Education of the Regional State Administration with the technical support of UN Women in Ukraine and funding from the UN Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF).
The forum became a space of strength, support, inspiration and new opportunities for women who, despite the challenges of war, continue to develop communities, support others and confidently move forward.
The event was attended by more than 90 participants — activists, women from among internally displaced persons, representatives of host communities, public organizations and partner institutions. The event brought women together to share experiences, learn, network, and support each other.
The Head of the Department of Family, Youth, and Mass Events of National and Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Zolkina Liliya, delivered a welcoming speech to the participants of the forum, emphasizing the importance of supporting IDP women, developing women’s leadership, and strengthening the role of women in the processes of community restoration and peacebuilding. She emphasized that women’s solidarity, mutual support, and active civic stance are an important component of the resilience of Ukrainian society today.
During the forum, participants participated in thematic sessions, practical classes, and interactive discussions on planning activities, developing communications, fundraising, personal branding, and psycho-emotional recovery. The special atmosphere of the event was created by openness, trust, solidarity, and a sincere desire to support each other.
An important part of the event was the expansion of partnerships and the signing of memorandums of cooperation with the Slavic Heart Foundation, which will contribute to the further implementation of joint initiatives, the development of women's support networks and the strengthening of interaction between communities. The forum was not only the result of the project implementation, but also a new starting point for future initiatives, the development of women's leadership and the active participation of women in the restoration and strengthening of communities.
