A ceremony was held in Dnipro to unveil the “Pokrovsk” memorial plaque, which is now part of the exhibition on the modern Russian-Ukrainian war at the Dmytro Yavornytskyi Dnipropetrovsk National Historical Museum.
The initiative to install the monument came from the Youth Council of the Pokrovsk City Council and was carried out with the support of the Pokrovsk City Military Administration.
The event began with the singing of the National Anthem of Ukraine. Those present observed a moment of silence to honor the memory of Ukraine’s defenders, the civilians of the Pokrovsk community, and all Ukrainians whose lives were taken by the war.
The Pokrovsk community continues to live and work today, despite all the hardships. The city’s history, its traditions, and the memory of home live on alongside its people. That is why the unveiling of this memorial holds special significance for every resident of Pokrovsk.
