A working meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Head of Donetsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Shevchenko. The meeting was attended by representatives of military administrations of localities, civil-military administrations, executive bodies of local community councils in Donetsk Oblast, and employees of the Oblast State Administration's Veterans Policy Department.
The following issues were discussed during the meeting
- monitoring of projects of socio-economic development programs in terms of veteran policy;
- meeting the needs of severely wounded soldiers and soldiers released from captivity during their support.
Attention was also focused on continuing the information campaign on rehabilitation of war veterans, their families and families of fallen heroes at the expense of local budgets.
It is extremely important to maintain an ongoing dialog with the veteran community in order to take into account their needs in a timely manner and develop effective solutions.
Following the meeting, the relevant recommendations and instructions were provided.
