On July 28, a meeting was held of the working group responsible for coordinating efforts in the Donetsk region to provide assistance and social services to war veterans, military personnel, and the families of military personnel who have been killed in action (either deceased or declared missing in action).
The meeting was attended by representatives of the regional state administration’s departments, the regional employment center, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, the Donetsk Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, the regional directorates of the National Police and the State Emergency Service, as well as district and city military administrations.
Participants heard reports from local communities on the status of comprehensive support for servicemen released from captivity and those seriously wounded, as well as their families.
Particular attention was paid to issues of social adaptation, psychological support, ensuring access to social services, and organizing appropriate support for these categories of individuals.
Following the meeting, priority areas for further cooperation between executive authorities and military administrations were identified to strengthen systematic support for veterans and their families.
