On February 21, 2026, the Department of Family, Youth, and Mass Events of National Patriotic Education of the Regional State Administration, together with the Staromlynivska community and the Kryvyi Rih Youth Center, held the first strategic meeting "Our Strength Lies in Unity" in Kryvyi Rih.
The event brought together about 20 active young people from Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. The participants represented different communities, but they were united by a common goal — the development of youth in a new city while preserving regional identity.
On the eve of the anniversary of the war for Ukraine's independence and the National Day of Prayer, the young people honored the memory of all those who died in this war with a minute of silence. The participants then began the day with introductions and informal communication, which helped them establish contacts and exchange experiences.
Representatives of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and local authorities in Kryvyi Rih presented young people with key opportunities for self-realization:
- grant programs and project competitions for young people;
- opportunities to participate in national-patriotic, volunteer, and educational initiatives;
- platforms to support youth leaders and teams;
- prospects for implementing their own ideas with the support of regional and local authorities.
Special attention was paid to the interactive part. Young people worked in groups, developing their own initiatives aimed at community development, support for displaced persons, youth patriotism, environmental projects, cultural exchanges, and strengthening unity between regions.
The most valuable outcome of the meeting was the concrete initiatives that are planned to be implemented in the near future thanks to the joint efforts of young people, communities, and regional authorities. The participants agreed to continue communication, and the next events to support the potential of young people are planned to take place soon within the framework of this cooperation.
