On June 28, Ukraine celebrated the 30th anniversary of its Constitution—the cornerstone of our state, which enshrines human rights and freedoms, the rule of law, dignity, and independence, as well as the Ukrainian people’s civilizational choice, which has remained unchanged for centuries.

On this festive day, humanitarian hubs and centers—established for residents of the Donetsk region in safe areas of Ukraine—held a series of patriotic events for children and adults that brought them together and strengthened their sense of Ukrainian unity.

Information sessions, lectures, and meetings titled “Know Your Rights and Don’t Forget Your Duties,” as well as thematic, patriotic, and educational events such as “The Constitution of Ukraine in Symbols and Facts: A New Generation’s Perspective,” “The Constitution of Ukraine—The Foundation of Our Statehood,” “This Is My Country,” “The Guardian of Statehood,” “Remember and Know Your Rights,” “30 Years of the Law for Everyone,” and interactive sessions such as “Symbols of Ukraine Through Children’s Eyes,” “The Constitution Unites Us,” and “The Constitution—the Heart of Ukrainian Statehood” served as a platform for sharing stories and discussing Ukraine’s fundamental law, state symbols, historical background on the adoption of the Constitution, its core principles, and its role in the development of statehood.

Educational quest games were organized, including “Me and My Country,” “A Journey Through Ukraine’s Fundamental Law,” “The Constitution Through Children’s Eyes,” “My Country—Ukraine,” and “The Constitution—Rights and Responsibilities,” as well as interactive blitz quizzes such as “What Is the Constitution?” “State Symbols of Ukraine,” “Ukraine in My Heart,” “Through the Pages of the Constitution of Ukraine,” and “The Path of the Ukrainian Constitution,” during which participants competed in their knowledge of constitutional provisions, assembled puzzles, solved challenges, and learned about the Constitution of Ukraine—all of which brought together children of various ages.

A series of workshops took place at the venues, where participants created symbolic amulets, crafts, paintings, and pendants, and used them to decorate themed photo zones, where everyone took patriotic photos to preserve warm memories of this day.

The educational and entertaining events “Simply About the Constitution,” “I Am a Person, We Are a Family, Our Home Is Ukraine,” “The Constitution and Us,” “Journey to the Land of Children’s Rights,” and “The Constitution: Rules That Work” consisted of brain teasers, crossword puzzles, quizzes, and sports relays, which united the youth of Donetsk Oblast around the fundamental values of our state.

An exhibition of children’s drawings and drawing workshops titled “We Believe in Ukraine’s Future,” “The Constitution Through Children’s Eyes,” “My Blooming Ukraine,” “Under the Sun of the Constitution,” “Canvas of Freedom,” “State Symbols of Ukraine,” and “The Constitution—the Country’s Fundamental Law” allowed children to express through their drawings what freedom, Ukraine, and their dreams of a happy future mean to them. In their creative works, the children conveyed the beauty of their homeland, their love for Ukraine, and their respect for state symbols and national traditions.

Thematic book exhibitions titled “The Constitution—The State’s Legal Guardian,” “Live by the Constitution—Build a Strong Ukraine,” “The Law That Unites the Country,” and “The Constitution—The Heart of Ukraine’s Laws” introduced visitors to editions of the Constitution of Ukraine from various years, as well as materials on citizens’ rights and responsibilities and state symbols.

Donetsk residents’ attendance at festive concert programs and performances by vocal, dance, and instrumental ensembles fostered an atmosphere of unity and inspiration, leaving them with unforgettable impressions of patriotic songs.

Residents of Donetsk currently in Dnipro took part in the annual dictation dedicated to Ukraine’s Constitution Day, an event that brought together hundreds of concerned Ukrainians.

The day was filled with knowledge, patriotism, and a sense of community. The events inspired those present to support unity and resilience in the face of today’s challenges and to work together to build a conscious, strong society.

Visitors to the humanitarian hubs and centers took part in laying flowers at memorials and monuments honoring the heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence.

Today, the residents of Donetsk Oblast are united in the face of a difficult challenge—the struggle for our independence, freedom, and European future.

Everything will be Ukraine!
