The Donetsk Region Hub in Kyiv hosted a screening of the documentary film *Chasiv Yar: 2 Years of Defense*, which chronicles the events of the current war and the heroic resistance of Ukrainian soldiers.
The event was attended by young people, educators, residents of the region, and representatives of the 18th Sloviansk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. Participants had the opportunity not only to watch the film’s trailer but also to join a discussion on the importance of preserving the memory of current events.
The film was created using real video footage shot by servicemen during combat missions in Chasiv Yar. This footage serves as a unique record of the events of 2024–2026 and offers a deeper understanding of the daily struggles of Ukrainian defenders.
A separate part of the event was the presentation of a photo exhibition depicting the face of war and life on the front lines. The photographs convey the atmosphere of a city that has long been under enemy attack and capture moments of courage and resilience among its defenders.
During the event, participants discussed how to document and preserve the history of the war in order to pass it on to future generations. Such initiatives contribute to the formation of a unified Ukrainian information space, strengthen respect for the defenders of Ukraine, and help people realize the price of the struggle for independence.
