To mark Ukraine’s Independence Day, the “Veselka/RainboW” Youth Center of the Udachne Village Council, in collaboration with the child-friendly space “Vse.Svit,” organized an off-site event for young people in the region. The trip was made possible with the support of the “KRYTSYA” project.

The event’s program combined patriotic education, honoring the memory of outstanding Ukrainians, and meaningful leisure activities.

The first stop on the itinerary was the grave of Ukrainian singer, TV host, and public figure Andriy Kuzmenko (Kuzma Skryabin). The participants laid flowers at the artist’s grave and honored his contribution to the development of Ukrainian culture and the formation of civil society.

During the event, the organizers held a thematic discussion for the young people, dedicated to the essence of Ukraine’s independence, the protection of national values, the importance of preserving the native language, and civic engagement among the younger generation.

The second part of the visit program was a tour of an ostrich farm. The young men and women learned about the specifics of raising these birds, had a positive experience, and were able to socialize in an informal setting, which helped relieve psychological and emotional stress and fostered a sense of unity within the youth community.

Such trips demonstrate that even in the most difficult times, the youth of Donetsk Oblast—who have found temporary refuge in Kryvyi Rih—remain united, preserve their national memory, and look confidently toward the future.
