JSC Ukrzaliznytsia in cooperation with the Donetsk Regional State Administration invited residents of Donetsk region to take a trip.
The art train is a traveling gallery created with the support of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, where the exhibition "Courage of a Nation" about the resilience of Ukrainians through the eyes of American philanthropist and photographer Howard Buffett is presented in specially converted cars with unique lighting and music.
"Although I've been photographing conflict for most of my adult life, the destruction in Ukraine is beyond anything I've seen before. Driving through completely destroyed cities, you feel like you're in a movie about the end of the world," writes Howard Buffett.
This project was created to touch every heart to remind us that we are together. We are holding on. We support each other and keep moving forward, no matter what.
Residents of Donetsk region who are in Lviv joined a unique event - an excursion in an art train, where they got acquainted with the emotional photo chronicle of different fates and places of Ukraine, the indomitable Ukrainian people.
"The photo exhibition is very unique, it contains bright flashes of the history of resilience and indomitability, a clot of pain and endurance of Ukrainians, but this exhibition should be taken to Europe and America so that they can feel our pain and resilience even more, so that they can understand that we will not give up easily, and our nation is indestructible!" the visitors of the exhibition share.
The art train is moving on, passing dozens of stations from the frontline regions to the Carpathians.
