Easter is a return to our roots, to warm memories, and, most importantly, to the feeling of home. For thousands of Bakhmut residents, this home exists only in their hearts and in their phone photo galleries. When the world we know becomes fragile, it is not things but people who become our greatest treasure. Those who are by our side. Those who remember.
These days, residents of the Bakhmut community have felt that they are part of a large and friendly family. As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” the partner cities of Kremenchuk, Kropyvnytskyi, Hostomel, and Hoshcha congratulated the people of Bakhmut on the Bright Feast of Christ’s Resurrection and sent them Easter baked goods.
For someone who left everything behind in their hometown, such a cake holds special meaning. It carries the scent of a peaceful morning; it is a sign that your pain is understood without words. It is a reminder: you are not alone; we are with you; we are together.
