Twenty teams from the younger age group competed for the championship in the regional stage of the “Sokil” (“Dzhura”) game. Based on the results of the competition, the teams that will represent Donetsk Oblast among the game’s top participants have been selected.
Due to the security situation, the competition was held remotely. The platforms Telegram, YouTube, Google Docs, Google Classroom, Google Meet, and “Vseosvita” were used to complete the competition tasks. Participants took tests, prepared video materials, and completed practical tasks in accordance with the competition rules.
The first challenge for the teams was to introduce themselves. This stage allowed participants to talk about themselves, their values, achievements, and the unique aspects of their activities. The subsequent competitions required knowledge, practical skills, attentiveness, and coordinated teamwork.
The competition program included the “Vidun” intellectual quiz game, the “Rescuer” first aid competition, the “Camping” competition, and team trail orienteering competitions. Each challenge assessed a specific area of the cadets’ training—from knowledge of the history and traditions of the Ukrainian military to skills necessary in everyday life and emergency situations.
Based on the results of the competition tasks, the winners were determined:
1st place — the “New Generation” squad (Kurakhiv “Prestige” Lyceum (academic track) of the Kurakhiv City Council, advisor — Tetiana Perekupka).
2nd place — the “Haidamaky” team (Velykonovosilkovsky Secondary School No. 2 of the Velykonovosilkovsky Village Council, advisor — Marina Gladchenko).
Third place — the “Patriots” team (Educational Complex “General Education School No. 7 (Grades 1–12) — Preschool” of the Dobropillia City Council, advisor — Vira Basova).
The “New Generation” team earned the right to represent the Donetsk region at the All-Ukrainian stage of the “Sokil” (“Dzhura”) competition.
In addition, the winners, prize winners, and active teams from all age categories will participate in a final camping trip in late June, which will take place in the Khmelnytskyi region.
