The social project “Active parks - locations of healthy Ukraine”, launched in 2021, in the context of war helps IDPs from Donetsk region to regularly participate in physical education and sports activities and thus receive such an important boost of vigor and positive energy.
Thus, in June 2025, project coordinators from Donetsk region organized 126 physical activity events that reached 1588 people of different age groups.
Today 10 coordinators from 9 communities in Donetsk Oblast work at the locations of “Active parks” in different parts of Ukraine. Every week each of them organizes at least 3 events, including exercises, various workouts, fitness, outdoor games and relay races.
The Donetsk regional center for physical health of population “Sport for all” provides methodological support to the coordinators' activities – in particular, they record attendance, the number of events and monitor a management of social media pages.
