A week-long culinary workshop dedicated to Europe Day has concluded in the Kirovohrad region, with students from the relocated Toretsk Vocational Lyceum participating.
Together with experienced vocational training instructors, the students explored the harmonious blend of Ukrainian identity with the culture of European Union countries, incorporating the latest global trends and service standards.
The event’s program included mastering techniques for preparing authentic cold soups, such as Spanish gazpacho, Lithuanian šaltibarštai, and Bulgarian tarator. Participants also prepared complex main courses using vegetable mousses and signature sauces, including salmon steak and pork rolls in a cherry-wine sauce.
Special attention was given to the art of pastry making during the intensive course: working on dessert architecture, creating meringue rolls, shell pastries, and cheesecakes. An important professional focus was the use of microgreens, which the students grew themselves for the final decoration of the dishes.
The training of young people from Donetsk Oblast in a relocation context is an example of resilience and high professionalism, contributing to Ukraine’s successful professional integration into the European space.
