May became the starting month for the Donetsk region of the new season of implementation of the social project “Active Parks – Locations of Healthy Ukraine”.
Despite all the challenges associated with the war and forced relocation, 10 coordinators are currently working in this project. They represents 9 communities of Donetsk region: Bilozerska, Vuhledarska, Druzhkivska, Kramatorska, Novohrodivska, Ocheretynska, Pokrovska, Selydivska and Toretska. The locations operate in different regions of Ukraine – Kyiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Kamianske, Bilozerske, Sofiivska Borshchahivka.
During the month, 130 events were held within the project, involving 1,665 participants.
Each location is not just a point on the map. This is a place where energy, movement and togetherness reign. Participants have the opportunity to join a wide range of activities:
• functional training;
• fitness and yoga;
• jogging and Nordic walking;
• team games: volleyball, football, basketball;
• outdoor games for children and family activities.
The project “Active Parks – Locations of Healthy Ukraine” proves that in order to maintain health, recharge with positivity and find new friends, motivation and desire are enough.
Ahead is a whole series of bright events for internally displaced persons from the Donetsk region who want to become part of a healthy and strong Ukraine.
